VFD Panel Manufacturer in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Control Panels Company is a VFD panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia, building variable frequency drive panels for pumps, fans, compressors and conveyors, with the cooling designed around the drive heat load. Typical lead time for a VFD panel is 2–4 weeks from approved drawings. Drive makes and ratings follow your motor schedule.
What you receive: a written proposal with the scope, drive and enclosure details, standard, lead time and price. We issue the quotation within one working day of receiving your single-line diagram or motor list. Request a quotation

What is a VFD panel?
A VFD panel is an enclosure that houses one or more variable frequency drives together with everything the drives need to run safely: incoming isolation, short-circuit protection, control wiring, operator devices and cooling. The drive changes the frequency and voltage supplied to an AC motor, so the motor runs at the speed the process asks for rather than at full speed all the time. The panel is what turns a drive module into something you can install, commission and maintain.
VFD panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia: what we deliver
Each panel is built from your motor schedule, drive selection and site conditions. The table sets out the scope.
| Panel | Rating | Standard | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Single-drive panel | One drive with isolator or MCCB, fuses, line reactor or DC choke, to the motor rating you specify | IEC 61439-1/-2; drive safety to IEC 61800-5-1 | 2–4 weeks |
| Multi-drive panel | Several drives in one lineup with common incoming and separate feeders | IEC 61439-1/-2 | 2–4 weeks |
| Drive with bypass | Drive plus bypass contactors for direct-on-line running if the drive is out of service | IEC 60947-4-1 | 2–4 weeks |
| VFD sections in an MCC | Drive feeders alongside DOL, star-delta and soft-starter feeders, fixed or withdrawable | IEC 61439-1/-2 | 4–6 weeks |
| Cooling | Filtered fans, heat exchangers or air conditioning, sized from the drive losses and ambient | Heat rise checked to IEC 61439-1 | Part of build time |
| Factory acceptance test | Routine verification, then each drive powered and run at no load | IEC 61439-1/-2 | Included in build time |
We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components, so a drive panel is delivered with a drive family your maintenance team already stocks. Programming of the drive and the process logic is not part of the panel build; where you need it, see PLC and automation panels.
How do you cool a VFD panel in Saudi Arabia heat?
Every drive turns a few percent of its power into heat, and that heat has to leave the enclosure. We total the losses of the drives, reactors, contactors and power supplies, add the solar and ambient load of the room or yard where the panel will stand, and choose the cooling from the result. Options run from filtered fan and louvre sections for clean rooms, through heat exchangers for dusty areas, to air-conditioned panels for sealed IP54 and higher builds.
Drives lose capacity as the cabinet temperature rises, so we also set the drive derating against the temperature you actually expect, not the data sheet's room temperature. Panels that sit in direct sun need a canopy or a shaded location in addition to the cooling.
How do you protect the motor and the supply?
A drive pushes harmonic current back onto the supply and fast voltage edges onto the motor cable. These are the usual measures, chosen to suit each job:
- Line reactor or DC choke on the input, to cut harmonic current and protect the drive from supply surges.
- EMC filter matched to the environment category of IEC 61800-3.
- Output filter for long motor cables or older motors.
- Screened motor cable terminated with 360-degree glands at the panel.
- Semiconductor fuses ahead of each drive, as the drive maker specifies.
Where the whole plant must meet a harmonic limit under IEEE 519, tell us the limit and the point of measurement, and we build the input stage to suit.
How is a VFD panel built, tested and delivered?
- Enquiry. You send the motor list, the drive make you want or the process duty.
- Site data. We confirm the supply, fault level, cable lengths, ambient temperature and the control signals.
- Design. We issue the general arrangement, heat-load calculation, schematics and bill of materials for approval.
- Build. The panel is wired in the Dammam workshop, with power and control kept in separate wiring zones.
- Factory acceptance test. We carry out the routine verification and run each drive at no load. You or your inspector can witness the test.
- Delivery. The panel is packed and positioned at your site.
- Documentation. You receive the as-built set, the test record and the drive parameter sheet.
- Support. We remain available for spare parts and call-outs.
Where we supply VFD panels
Saudi Control Panels Company has worked in Saudi Arabia since 2000 and is approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. We have worked on projects for all three, and we hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. More than 150 panels leave our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam each month.
Drive panels go to water and wastewater pumping, HVAC and chilled-water plant, cement and building-material lines, food factories and process skids. We deliver to every region of Saudi Arabia, and we respond to site requests in the Eastern Province within one working day. For larger motor groups, our MCC panels combine drive and starter feeders in one board, and our pump control panels cover duty and standby pumping.
VFD panel questions
Who provides VFD panel manufacturing in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Control Panels Company provides VFD panels from its Dammam workshop, built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components. We have been active since 2000 and are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.
What affects the cost of a VFD panel?
The main factors are the motor power and number of drives, the drive make, whether line reactors, filters and bypass are included, the cooling method, the enclosure, its IP rating and the level of testing and documents. Send your motor list and the proposal shows the price effect of each choice.
How long does VFD panel delivery take?
The typical lead time for a VFD panel is 2–4 weeks, and 4–6 weeks when the drives sit inside an MCC. Approval of drawings and the delivery of the drives themselves are the two factors that move the schedule most.
Do I need a bypass on a VFD panel?
A bypass is worth having when the motor is critical and can safely run at full speed on the supply. The bypass contactors let the motor run direct-on-line while the drive is repaired. If the load cannot tolerate full-speed starting, use a second drive or a soft starter instead.
Can you build a VFD panel around the drives we already hold?
Yes. We can mount free-issue drives in a new panel, or build the panel around a drive family you standardise on. We confirm the drive dimensions, losses and clearances first, then design the cooling and wiring to the manufacturer's installation rules.
What should I send to get a quotation?
Send your single-line diagram, motor list or panel schedule, with the drive make and the ambient temperature at the panel location if you know them. The proposal then sets out scope, standard, lead time and price.
