Control panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia: what we build
A panel is only as good as its busbar joints, its wiring discipline and the test it passes before it leaves the floor. We build the whole family of low-voltage panels in our own workshops, so one team owns the drawing, the build and the test. The table shows the ranges and typical lead times.
| Panel | Range | Standard | Typical lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| LV switchboards, MDB, SMDB | Up to 6,300 A, 380–415 V, 60 Hz, Form 1 to 4b, up to 100 kA per design verification | IEC 61439-1/-2 | 3–5 weeks |
| MCC panels | Fixed or withdrawable, up to 4,000 A busbar, DOL, star-delta, soft-starter and VFD feeders | IEC 61439-1/-2 | 4–6 weeks |
| PLC and automation panel hardware | Siemens, Rockwell and Schneider PLC hardware integrated per your drawings | IEC 60204-1 | 2–4 weeks |
| Custom, pump, ATS and VFD panels | To specification | IEC 61439-1, IEC 60204-1 | 2–4 weeks |
| Distribution boards | Up to 800 A | IEC 61439-3 | 1–2 weeks |
| Stainless steel and outdoor panels | SS304 or SS316, IP55 to IP66 | IEC 60529 | 3–5 weeks |
| Build-to-print and OEM assembly | From your drawings and bill of materials | Your drawings, IEC 60204-1 | 2–6 weeks |
| Enclosures | Rittal TS8, AX and VX25, or local enclosures, IP31 to IP66 | IEC 60529 | Part of the panel lead time |
| Factory acceptance test | In-house routine verification; customer or third-party witness welcome | IEC 61439-1 | Included |
We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components in Rittal and local enclosures, and we work to the main IEC standards and SASO requirements. Your specification decides the make of breakers, contactors and drives, and we price against it.

Why does build quality decide how long a panel lasts?
Most panel failures start with a loose termination, an overheated busbar joint or a breaker that was derated for the wrong ambient temperature. They do not start with the brand on the door. Good build quality means each of those risks is closed before the panel ships.
- Verified design. IEC 61439 asks the assembly manufacturer to verify temperature rise, short-circuit withstand and dielectric strength by test, calculation or approved design rules. We select the busbar, the supports and the enclosure from a verified arrangement rather than improvising on the shop floor.
- Heat planned in. We calculate the dissipation of every device and size ventilation or air-conditioning to keep the inside of the enclosure below the component limits at Eastern Province summer temperatures.
- Torque and tidiness. Power joints are tightened to the manufacturer's torque and marked. Control wiring is ferruled, labelled and segregated from power cables.
- Routine verification on every panel. Inspection, wiring checks, insulation resistance, dielectric test, protective-circuit continuity and mechanical operation are recorded on a test sheet before dispatch.
Heat deserves its own sentence, because it is the quiet cause of nuisance trips in Gulf plants. A breaker rated at 40 °C ambient carries less current at 50 °C inside a closed enclosure, so we apply the derating before the bill of materials is frozen and not after the first summer on site.
Saudi Control Panels holds certification to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. The workshop procedures that sit behind those certificates are the same ones your panel moves through. If your project needs a witness, see how panel FAT and testing works with customer and third-party inspectors.
How long does a control panel take from order to delivery?
Delivery time is the sum of drawing approval, component supply, build and test. The build itself is short when we hold the standard breaker and contactor ranges and your drawings are approved on the first review. Our typical lead times are 1–2 weeks for distribution boards, 2–4 weeks for PLC, custom, pump, ATS and VFD panels, 3–5 weeks for LV switchboards and for stainless steel and outdoor panels, and 4–6 weeks for MCC panels.
Three things move those numbers more than anything else:
- Drawing approval. A consultant who returns comments in days rather than weeks saves more time than any workshop shortcut.
- Long-lead components. Large air circuit breakers, specified drives and special-make instruments are ordered the day the order is confirmed.
- Scope of testing. Third-party witness visits are scheduled to the inspector's diary, so we agree the date at order stage.
The workshops build more than 150 panels a month, so a standard board does not queue behind a major project.
How does a panel move from enquiry to site?
Every order follows the same eight steps, whether it is one distribution board or forty MCC sections.
- Enquiry. You send the single-line diagram, panel schedule, OEM drawings or a marked-up sketch.
- Quotation. We reply within one working day with scope, make list, lead time and price.
- Design. Our panel engineers prepare general-arrangement, single-line and wiring drawings for your approval.
- Procurement. Components are ordered against the approved bill of materials.
- Build. Enclosures, busbars, devices and wiring are assembled in the Dammam workshop.
- Factory acceptance test. Routine verification is carried out and recorded, with your witness if you attend.
- Delivery and commissioning support. Panels are packed, transported and positioned on site, and our engineers support energisation.
- Documentation and support. You receive as-built drawings, test records and manuals, plus spares and modification support afterwards.

Control panel manufacturer questions
Who is a control panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia that builds to IEC 61439?
Saudi Control Panels Company provides control panel manufacturing in Saudi Arabia from our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam, with LV switchboards, MCC panels, PLC panels and custom panels built and tested to IEC 61439. We have been active since 2000 and are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.
What is an electrical control panel?
An electrical control panel is an enclosure that houses the devices which switch, protect, measure and control equipment: breakers, contactors, relays, drives, PLCs, power supplies and terminals. It is wired to a drawing, tested, and then installed between the supply and the motors, pumps, heaters or machines it controls.
What are the main components of a control panel?
A typical panel contains an incoming isolator or breaker, a busbar or distribution system, protection devices, contactors or starters, control relays or a PLC, a 24 V DC power supply, terminals, indicators and push buttons. Cooling fans, heaters and thermostats keep the temperature inside the enclosure within component limits.
What affects the cost of a control panel?
The main cost drivers are the current rating and fault level, the make of breakers and drives, the form of separation, the enclosure material and IP rating, the amount of wiring, and the testing and documentation required. Send your drawings and we price each of these separately in the quotation.
How long does a control panel order take?
Delivery depends on drawing approval, component supply and panel size. Our typical lead times range from 1–2 weeks for distribution boards to 4–6 weeks for MCC panels. Approving drawings quickly and confirming makes at order stage are the two steps that shorten the schedule most.
What should I send to get a quotation?
Send your single-line diagram, panel schedule or OEM drawings, plus the project specification if you have one. A sketch with ratings is enough to start. We confirm the scope, flag any missing data and return a priced quotation within one working day.
