Custom Control Panels in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Control Panels Company builds custom control panels in Saudi Arabia for pumps, generators, drives, process skids and machines, taking each one from single-line diagram to delivered, tested panel. Custom, pump, ATS and VFD panels are built to your specification in a typical 2–4 weeks. One team handles the drawings, the enclosure, the wiring and the test.

What you receive: a quotation with the proposed design basis, enclosure, make list, drawings to be issued, lead time and price. It arrives inside one working day of your sketch, single-line diagram or specification reaching us. Request a quotation

Custom control panels in stainless steel and painted steel enclosures built in Saudi Arabia

What counts as a custom electrical panel?

A custom electrical panel is any control or distribution assembly that is not a catalogue product: its layout, ratings, devices and interlocks follow one project's requirements. A pump station may need duty-standby starters with level inputs. A generator room may need an automatic changeover scheme. A process skid may need a stainless enclosure with intrinsically safe barriers and a local operator station. Control cabinet integration covers the layout, wiring, labelling and testing of the devices you choose inside one enclosure.

What these panels share is a documented design, a verified build and a recorded test. We treat a one-off panel with the same discipline as a series board, because the customer will live with it for decades.

Custom control panels in Saudi Arabia: what we build

The table gives the starting ranges. Your specification sets the final values.

Panel Rating Standard Lead time
Custom control, pump, ATS and VFD panels To specification IEC 61439-1, IEC 60204-1 2–4 weeks
Stainless steel and outdoor panels SS304 or SS316, IP55 to IP66 IEC 60529 3–5 weeks
Enclosures Rittal TS8, AX and VX25, or local enclosures, IP31 to IP66 IEC 60529 Part of the panel lead time
Fabricated enclosures Sheet-metal and stainless fabrication in our own workshops IEC 61439-1 Part of the panel lead time
Drawings General arrangement, single-line, schematics, terminal schedules IEC 60204-1 Part of the panel lead time
Factory acceptance test In-house routine verification; customer or third-party witness welcome IEC 61439-1 Included

We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components in Rittal and local enclosures. Where we fabricate stainless or carbon-steel enclosures ourselves, our welding qualifications to ASME, AWS and DIN EN apply to the work.

How does a bespoke panel go from sketch to site?

Most requests start with a single-line diagram, a hand sketch or a paragraph in a tender. We work with all three. Our engineers turn the request into a design basis that lists the supply, the loads, the control philosophy, the environment and the standards. You approve it before any steel is cut.

The flow is then straightforward. We draw the layout, calculate the heat, select components, issue schematics and bill of materials, build the panel and test it. Where the project is a repeat of a panel you already own, build-to-print panels are quicker, because we start from your drawings.

What information do you need to design a custom panel?

Four groups of data are enough to start a design:

  • Supply. Voltage, frequency, fault level at the panel and incoming cable.
  • Loads. A list of motors, heaters or devices with kW or current, starting method and the protection you expect.
  • Control. A functional description or a sequence: which inputs start, stop, alarm or trip each load.
  • Site. Indoor or outdoor, ambient temperature range, dust, humidity and salt exposure, plus the space available.

The more complete the data, the fewer queries come back. If something is missing, our panel engineer proposes a reasonable assumption and marks it in the drawing for your confirmation. The design deliverables are listed on the page for panel design and drawings.

Site conditions change the design. The place where the panel lives often decides more than its electrical rating. Coastal and Jubail sites bring salt and humidity, which call for stainless steel or coated enclosures and sealed cable entries. Outdoor panels in the Eastern Province need a sun shield, a higher IP rating and cooling sized for peak ambient temperature. Washdown areas need smooth, sloped, cleanable surfaces.

For those cases, see stainless steel and outdoor panels. For indoor panels, standard painted steel in a Rittal or local enclosure usually balances cost and service life.

How is a custom panel tested before delivery?

  1. Enquiry. You send the sketch, single-line diagram or specification.
  2. Design basis. We issue the design basis and general-arrangement drawing for approval.
  3. Procurement. Components and enclosure are ordered once drawings are approved.
  4. Fabrication and assembly. Backplates are laid out and wired, and doors are fitted with devices.
  5. Factory acceptance test. We check wiring against the schematics, run insulation and dielectric tests, verify protection and operate every function. See panel FAT and testing for the full routine.
  6. Delivery and handover. Panels are crated, delivered and handed over with as-built drawings and test records.

Who we build custom panels for

Saudi Control Panels Company has worked in Saudi Arabia since 2000 and is approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. Our work for all three is backed by management systems certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Our our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam builds more than 150 panels a month.

Maintenance teams, contractors, packagers and consultants send us the panels that standard catalogues do not cover. We deliver to every region of Saudi Arabia, with site response in the Eastern Province inside one working day.

Custom panel questions

Who builds custom control panels in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Control Panels Company provides custom control panels in Saudi Arabia from its Dammam workshop, designed to your single-line diagram and built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components. Approval is held from Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.

What affects the cost of a custom panel?

The main factors are the rating and fault level, the number of devices, the make of the components, the enclosure material and IP rating, the amount of wiring, the drawings required and the testing you want witnessed. Send the sketch or single-line and the quotation prices each factor separately.

How long does a custom panel take to build?

Custom, pump, ATS and VFD panels typically take 2–4 weeks, and stainless steel or outdoor panels 3–5 weeks. Approval of the design basis and the delivery time of drives and breakers decide where a panel falls within the range.

Can you build a panel from a hand sketch?

Yes. Send the sketch with the supply, the loads and the operating sequence. Our panel engineer turns it into a design basis and drawings, issues them for your approval and builds only after you sign off.

Do you build panels for hazardous areas?

We build the safe-area control panels that sit outside the hazardous zone and wire them to field equipment, including barriers or isolators where the design calls for them. Certified equipment inside the zone comes from its own manufacturer, and we coordinate terminations.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send your sketch, single-line diagram or tender specification, plus the supply data and load list. Add the site conditions and any preferred component make. We reply with a priced scope inside one working day.
