Control Panel Wiring in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Control Panels Company provides control panel wiring in Saudi Arabia for contractors, integrators and machine builders, wiring panels to IEC 60204-1 from your schematics in its Dammam workshop. We take free-issue or supplied enclosures, mount the devices, wire, ferrule and label every conductor, and test point to point. Typical lead time is 2–6 weeks, set by panel size.

What you receive: a quotation stating the wiring scope, the materials we supply, the testing records and the delivery date. It reaches you inside one working day of your schematics, bill of materials or panel layout arriving. Request a quotation

What is a panel wiring diagram and what do you wire from?

A panel wiring diagram, or schematic, shows how each device connects: supply, protection, contactors, relays, terminals and field cables. A good set also has a layout drawing, a terminal schedule and a cable list, so the wirer knows where each part sits and where each wire goes.

We wire from any of three sources. You may send the full drawing set, the schematics with a bill of materials, or a marked-up sketch that our engineers draw up for your approval. Missing drawings are the first source of rework, so we review the set for gaps, duplicate numbers and heat problems before the first conductor is cut.

Control panel wiring in Saudi Arabia: scope and standards

The table shows what a wiring order covers. The standard is IEC 60204-1 for machine and control equipment, with IEC 61439 where the panel is also a power assembly.

Panel Rating Standard Lead time
Power wiring Sized to the device rating and ambient temperature, torque-marked terminations IEC 60204-1, IEC 61439-1 2–6 weeks, by panel size
Control wiring Ferruled, labelled, colour-coded conductors in duct or looms IEC 60204-1 2–6 weeks, by panel size
Terminals and marking Numbered terminal rows, device tags and wire numbers matched to the drawings IEC 60204-1 Part of the wiring lead time
Enclosures Rittal TS8, AX and VX25, or local enclosures, IP31 to IP66, or your free-issue enclosure IEC 60529 Part of the wiring lead time
Point-to-point test Continuity, insulation resistance and protective-circuit checks, recorded IEC 60204-1 Included

We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components and wire your free-issue parts of any make. If you need us to supply the materials, the quotation lists every item by make and part number.

What colour code do control panel wires follow?

IEC 60204-1 sets a default scheme: black for AC and DC power circuits, red for AC control circuits, blue for DC control circuits and orange for circuits that stay live when the main supply is isolated. Protective earth is green-yellow, and neutral is light blue. Your project specification may override these defaults, and we follow whichever the contract states.

Phase colours for incoming supply are usually set by the project specification or the local installation rules, and the specification should state them. We mark every conductor with a ferrule number that matches the drawing, so colour is a second aid and not the only one.

How does a wirer build a panel to a drawing?

  1. Drawing review. We check the schematic, layout and bill of materials for missing numbers, clashes and heat load.
  2. Material check. Free-issue or supplied parts are checked against the bill of materials on receipt.
  3. Backplate layout. Rails, ducts and devices are mounted to the layout drawing with the clearances the manufacturer requires.
  4. Wiring. Conductors are cut, crimped, ferruled and terminated to marked torque, with power and signal circuits separated.
  5. Labelling. Wire numbers, device tags and terminal numbers are fitted to match the schematic.
  6. Point-to-point test. Every circuit is checked against the drawing, followed by insulation and protective-circuit tests. The full routine is on the panel FAT and testing page.
  7. Handover. You receive redline drawings, test sheets and photographs of the finished panel.

Wiring only, or the full panel?

You decide how much of the panel we handle. Some customers fabricate or buy the enclosure and want wiring only. Some want hardware for a PLC system, with the programming done elsewhere, which is described on our PLC and automation panels page. Others send a full set of drawings and ask for a complete build-to-print panel. Where an existing panel needs new wiring, breakers or devices, see panel modification and retrofit.

For manufacturers who send us repeat batches, the OEM contract panel assembly service adds batch pricing and serial-number traceability.

Who we wire panels for

Saudi Control Panels Company has worked in Saudi Arabia since 2000 and is approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. Saudi Control Panels has worked on projects for all three and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Our our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam builds more than 150 panels a month.

Wiring subcontract customers are electrical contractors, integrators and equipment makers who need extra capacity or a controlled workshop. We deliver to every region of Saudi Arabia, with site response in the Eastern Province inside one working day.

Panel wiring questions

Who is a control panel wiring company in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Control Panels Company provides control panel wiring in Saudi Arabia from its Dammam workshop, working to IEC 60204-1 for contractors, integrators and machine builders. We are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission, and we hold ISO 9001 certification.

What affects the cost of panel wiring?

The main factors are the number of devices and wires, the conductor sizes, the density of the layout, whether we supply the materials, the labelling standard and the testing records required. A schematic and bill of materials let us price the labour and the materials separately.

How long does panel wiring take?

Wiring and testing of a typical panel takes 2–6 weeks, depending on size and complexity. Complete drawings, parts delivered on time and quick answers to queries shorten the schedule more than extra labour does.

Can you wire panels from our drawings and free-issue parts?

Yes. We accept drawings and free-issue parts, check them on receipt, wire the panel exactly as drawn and return it with test records. Any drawing discrepancy is raised with you in writing before the affected circuit is wired.

What is the difference between a wirer and a panel builder?

A wirer assembles and connects the devices to a drawing. A panel builder also designs the layout, selects components, orders materials, builds the enclosure and carries out verification of the finished assembly. We provide both, and you choose how much of the job we take.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send the schematics, panel layout, bill of materials and terminal schedule, plus the number of panels. State whether you will supply the parts. If the drawings are incomplete, send what you have and we will list the gaps in the quotation.
