MCC Panels for Cement Plants in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Control Panels Company builds MCC panels for cement plants in Saudi Arabia, with dust-sealed, withdrawable motor control centres and LV switchboards for crushers, mills, kiln fans, conveyors and packing lines. MCC panels typically take 4 to 6 weeks and carry busbars up to 4,000 A, with every lineup tested in our Dammam workshop.

What you receive: a written proposal with the lineup arrangement, feeder schedule, ingress rating, delivery time and price, issued within one working day of your motor list or single-line diagram. Request a quotation

What conditions do panels face in a cement plant?

Cement plants combine fine dust, high ambient heat and a large number of motors. Dust settles on busbars and in contactors, heat raises the temperature of every component, and hundreds of drives have to start and stop on a schedule that ties to production. A panel built for a clean office building will clog and trip in a mill house within months.

Typical loads include:

  • raw mill, cement mill and crusher drives, often with soft-starters;
  • kiln, preheater and cooler fans, usually on VFDs;
  • belt conveyors, bucket elevators and screw conveyors in long lines;
  • packing and palletising machines; and
  • dust collectors, compressors and cooling water pumps.

The same motors appear in brick, block, precast and ceramic plants, so the guidance below applies to building materials generally.

We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components in Rittal enclosures, and take the busbar and cooling decisions described below from your site data.

How do dust and heat change the way an MCC is built?

Seal the dust out, then deal with the heat. A higher ingress rating on the door and cable entries stops fine powder from reaching live parts. A sealed panel, however, holds its own heat, so we derate the busbar and feeders for your site's ambient temperature and fit filtered fans or air-conditioning where the load demands it. In a dusty mill house, the usual answer is a pressurised, air-conditioned electrical room, with the MCC standing in clean air and only the cabling going out to the dust. We discuss the layout with you before the drawings are issued.

For feeders with frequent starts, such as conveyors, we size contactors and overloads to the duty.

Why choose withdrawable MCC units in a cement plant?

Withdrawable drawers shorten the repair. When a starter fails on a line that feeds the kiln, a spare drawer swaps in within minutes instead of a technician working on live wiring. You keep a few spare drawers of the common sizes on the shelf and restore the feeder at once. Withdrawable construction costs more than fixed, so many plants use it for process-critical feeders and fixed units for auxiliaries. Our MCC panels page explains the form options.

Older plants often need to add feeders or replace worn breakers instead of buying a new lineup. Our panel modification and retrofit service covers that work.

How are cement plant panels built, tested and delivered?

  1. Enquiry. You send the motor list, single-line diagram and room layout.
  2. Review. We confirm the busbar rating, ingress rating and cooling for the site temperature.
  3. Design. Drawings and the feeder schedule are issued for approval.
  4. Build. The lineup is assembled in our Dammam workshop.
  5. Factory acceptance test. We verify wiring, insulation, protection, interlocks and drawer operation. See FAT and testing.
  6. Delivery. The lineup is shipped in sections and positioned at site.
  7. Documentation. You receive as-built drawings, the feeder schedule and test records.

We have worked in Saudi Arabia since 2000, with projects in all regions of the Kingdom, and our quality, environmental and safety systems are certified to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Our our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam builds more than 150 panels a month. We plan shipping sections around your site crane and door sizes.

Cement plant MCC questions

Who provides MCC panels for cement plants in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Control Panels Company provides withdrawable and fixed MCC panels from its our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam, built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components. We deliver to plants in every region and quote within one working day.

What affects the cost of an MCC panel for a cement plant?

The main factors are the number of feeders, motor ratings, starter type (DOL, soft-starter or VFD), fixed or withdrawable construction, ingress rating, cooling and component make. Send the motor list and the proposal prices each feeder and the busbar system.

How long does an MCC panel take to deliver?

MCC panels typically take 4 to 6 weeks. The number of sections and the starter types drive the build time, and your drawing approval is the main schedule variable. A shutdown date gives us a fixed target to plan backwards from.

Can you replace the starters in our existing MCC during a shutdown?

Yes. We survey the lineup, supply replacement drawers or starters that fit the existing frame and plan the work to the shutdown window. Send the lineup drawings or photographs of the nameplates and we propose the scope.

Can you build panels for a hot, dusty site?

Yes. We derate the busbar and components for the site ambient temperature, specify the ingress rating the room needs and select ventilation or air-conditioning to match. Send the expected ambient temperature and room details with your enquiry.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send the motor list with ratings, the single-line diagram and the room layout. Add the ambient temperature and shutdown dates. We confirm scope, lead time and price within one working day.
