ATS Panel Manufacturer in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Control Panels Company is an ATS panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia, building automatic transfer switch panels that move your load from the mains to a generator and back without an operator. Typical lead time for ATS and custom panels is 2–4 weeks from approved drawings, built and tested in our Dammam workshop. Ratings follow your load schedule.

What you receive: a written proposal with the scope, standard, lead time and price. We issue the quotation within one working day of receiving your single-line diagram or panel schedule. Request a quotation

What does an ATS panel do?

An ATS panel is the point where your site chooses between two sources of power. The transfer controller watches the mains voltage and frequency. When the supply fails or drifts outside its limits, the controller waits through a start delay, signals the generator to run, checks that the generator voltage is stable and then closes the generator breaker. When the mains returns and stays healthy for a set time, the panel transfers back and tells the generator to cool down and stop.

The two sources are never connected together. A mechanical interlock between the breakers, backed by an electrical interlock in the control circuit, prevents both from closing at once. That protects the generator, the cables and anyone working on the board.

ATS panel manufacturer in Saudi Arabia: what we deliver

We build each panel from your load schedule, fault level and generator data. The table sets out the scope.

Panel Rating Standard Lead time
ATS panel, breaker type Motorised or manually operated breaker pair with mechanical and electrical interlock, to project rating IEC 61439-1/-2; transfer equipment to IEC 60947-6-1 2–4 weeks
ATS panel, switch type Motorised changeover switch for smaller loads, to project rating IEC 60947-6-1 2–4 weeks
Transfer controller Voltage and frequency sensing on both sources, adjustable delays, generator start and stop contacts, test and inhibit inputs Manufacturer type-tested 2–4 weeks
Enclosure Floor-standing or wall-mounted, indoor or outdoor duty, IP31–IP66 IEC 60529 2–4 weeks
Factory acceptance test Routine verification, plus a full mains-fail and mains-return sequence on the test bench IEC 61439-1/-2 Included in build time

We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components, mounted in Rittal TS8, AX or VX25 enclosures or local enclosures, whichever your specification calls for.

How do you choose the right ATS panel?

Start with four facts: the load you must keep alive, the fault level at the changeover point, the generator rating and how long a break in supply you can accept. These choices follow from them:

  • Breaker or switch type. Breakers suit larger loads and give you protection in the same device. Motorised switches are compact and quick for smaller feeders.
  • Open or closed transition. Open transition, with a short break during the change, is the standard build. If the process cannot tolerate even that, tell us and we will propose a solution with synchronising.
  • Load shedding. On a generator that cannot carry the whole site, non-essential feeders are dropped before transfer and restored in steps.
  • Bypass. A maintenance bypass lets you service the transfer equipment without losing supply.
  • Controls. Adjustable start, return and cool-down delays, an exercise-run timer and a test-on-load key switch are normal inclusions.

What is the difference between an ATS and an AMF panel?

An ATS panel moves the load between sources. An AMF panel, short for auto mains failure, is the controller that also starts and stops the generator. In practice the two functions are often built into one assembly. We can supply the ATS panel alone when your generator set already carries its own control, or as one panel with the AMF logic included. Your single-line diagram tells us which you need.

How is an ATS panel built, tested and delivered?

  1. Enquiry. You send the single-line diagram, panel schedule or the generator data sheet.
  2. Site data. We confirm voltages, fault level, generator controller type and the signals it expects.
  3. Design. We issue the general arrangement, schematic and bill of materials for your approval.
  4. Build. The breaker pair, interlocks and controller are mounted and wired in the Dammam workshop.
  5. Factory acceptance test. We carry out the routine verification and run the full mains-fail sequence with timers set. You or your inspector can witness the test.
  6. Delivery. The panel is packed, delivered and positioned at your site.
  7. Documentation. You receive as-built drawings, the test record and the settings sheet.
  8. Support. We remain available for spares and for call-outs if the changeover behaves differently on site.

Where we supply ATS panels

Saudi Control Panels Company has worked in Saudi Arabia since 2000 and is approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu. We have taken on projects for all three, and we hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification. Our Dallah Industrial area workshop in Dammam build more than 150 panels a month.

Changeover panels go to hospitals, data rooms, water pumping stations, process plants, commercial towers and camps, anywhere a power cut costs more than the panel. We deliver to every region of Saudi Arabia, and we respond to site requests in the Eastern Province within one working day. For larger boards that feed the changeover, see LV switchboards and MDB, and for loads behind it, custom control panels.

ATS panel questions

Who provides ATS panel manufacturing in Saudi Arabia?

Saudi Control Panels Company provides ATS panels from its Dammam workshop, built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components. We have been active since 2000 and are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.

What affects the cost of an ATS panel?

The main factors are the rated current, breaker or switch type, whether a bypass or load-shedding scheme is included, the enclosure and IP rating, the make of the transfer controller and the test and documentation level. Send your single-line diagram and the proposal shows what each choice adds to the price.

How long does ATS panel delivery take?

The typical lead time for an ATS panel is 2–4 weeks. Quick approval of drawings has the largest effect on the schedule, followed by the delivery time of the main breakers or switches for the rating you choose.

Can an ATS panel work with any generator?

Yes, provided the generator controller gives a start contact and accepts a mains-healthy or run signal. We check the controller model on your data sheet at the design stage and wire the interface to match, so the first transfer on site works as designed.

Can you build an ATS panel from our consultant's drawings?

Yes. We review your consultant's single-line diagram and specification, return a compliance statement with any proposed alternatives, and submit drawings for approval before the build begins. We also build to print when the schematics are complete.

What should I send to get a quotation?

Send your single-line diagram, panel schedule or drawings, plus the generator rating and the controller model if you know it. The proposal then sets out scope, standard, lead time and price.
