Panel Build to Print in Saudi Arabia
Saudi Control Panels Company provides panel build to print in Saudi Arabia, assembling electrical control panels exactly to your drawings and bill of materials in its Dammam workshop. You supply the design; we supply the workshop, the wiring crew, the testing and the delivery. Typical build time is 2–6 weeks, depending on panel size and component availability.
What you receive: a written proposal with the scope, standard, lead time and price within one working day of receiving your drawings and bill of materials. Request a quotation

What does build to print mean for a control panel?
Build to print means we assemble the panel exactly as your drawings define it. The design stays yours: the single-line diagram, the layout, the schematics, the wiring schedules and the bill of materials (BOM). We take on the enclosure preparation, mounting, wiring, labelling, testing, packing and delivery. As an electrical assembly subcontractor, we build your panels to your drawings and bill of materials without redesigning them.
If a drawing is unclear or two documents disagree, we raise a technical query before any metal is cut. The question is settled on paper, not in the workshop. This model suits OEMs, packagers, foreign vendors and EPC contractors who hold the engineering and need a Saudi workshop to execute it at a steady pace.
Panel build to print: what we deliver
The table sets out what is included in a build-to-print order.
| Panel | Rating | Standard | Lead time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Build-to-print / OEM assembly | From customer drawings and BOM | IEC 61439-1/-2; IEC 60204-1 for machine panels | 2–6 weeks |
| Enclosures | Rittal TS8, AX and VX25, and local enclosures, IP31–IP66 | IEC 60529 | Within the build time |
| Wiring and labelling | To your wiring schedules, ferrule and colour standard | IEC 60204-1 | Within the build time |
| Components | Supplied by you, or procured by us to the BOM | Manufacturer type-tested | Confirmed per item in the proposal |
| Factory acceptance test | In-house to IEC 61439 routine verification; customer or third-party witness welcome | IEC 61439-1/-2 | Included |
We build with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components, and with whichever makes your BOM names.
What should I send to start a build-to-print order?
Send the complete drawing pack. The more complete it is, the faster the quotation and the shorter the build.
- single-line diagram and general arrangement drawing with dimensions and cut-outs;
- circuit schematics and the wiring or terminal schedule;
- BOM with manufacturer and part number for every item;
- enclosure specification, including material, finish and IP rating;
- nameplate and label schedule;
- test and inspection requirements, with any witness points; and
- packing, marking and delivery instructions.
If any item is missing, tell us. We can quote against what you have and list the gaps for you to close.
How long does a build-to-print order take?
Lead time depends on panel size, wiring density, component availability and how quickly drawing queries are closed. A compact panel with stock components moves quickly. A large assembly with long-lead drives or breakers is paced by the supplier's delivery date, and we tell you that date in the proposal. Sending the BOM early, or supplying the components yourself, removes the biggest source of delay.
How does a build-to-print order run?
- Enquiry. You send the drawing pack and BOM.
- Review. Our engineer checks completeness and raises any technical queries in one list.
- Proposal. You receive scope, lead time and price against the approved revision.
- Procurement. Components and enclosures are ordered, or your free-issue items are received and logged.
- Assembly. We prepare the enclosure, mount the equipment and wire to the drawings.
- Factory acceptance test. We carry out the routine verification and issue the test record. See panel FAT and testing.
- Delivery. The panel is packed, marked and sent to your site or port.
- Documentation. You receive the red-line as-built drawings and the test record. If your drawings need updating first, our panel design and drawings team can prepare them.

Build to print questions
Who provides panel build to print in Saudi Arabia?
Saudi Control Panels Company provides panel build to print from our Dallah Industrial workshop in Dammam, built with ABB, Schneider Electric and Siemens components or the makes on your BOM. We have been active since 2000 and are approved by Saudi Aramco, SABIC and the Royal Commission.
What affects the cost of a build-to-print order?
The main factors are the BOM value if we procure components, enclosure size and finish, wiring hours, number of panels in the batch, test and witness requirements, and documentation. Send the drawings and BOM, and the proposal prices each item separately so you can see where the cost sits.
How long does it take to receive a quotation?
We issue a written quotation within one working day of receiving your drawings and BOM. If the pack has gaps, we send one consolidated list of queries at the same time, so the quotation is not held up by repeated back-and-forth.
What if the drawings contain an error?
We raise it before building. Our engineer sends a technical query with the drawing reference and a proposed correction, and the build waits for your decision on that point only. Once you confirm, we build to the corrected revision and record the change in the as-built drawings.
Do you supply the components or do I?
Either route works. You can free-issue the major items, we can procure everything to the BOM, or we can split the two. Free issue shortens the schedule when you hold stock, while full procurement gives you one supplier and one delivery date.
Can you build from foreign vendor drawings?
Yes. We review drawings prepared overseas against the IEC standards in your specification, flag clashes with Saudi site requirements, and build to the revision you approve. For repeat batches we agree a first-off inspection, then see OEM and contract panel assembly for batch terms.
Can my engineer witness the factory acceptance test?
Yes. Customer and third-party inspectors are welcome at the test, which follows IEC 61439 routine verification. Tell us the witness points when you order, and we schedule the test around your inspector's visit.
